What does the role of Design Engineer at Suerickx Energies entail?

  • You are aware of the latest developments and trends in the field of Renewable Energy.
  • You will design a complete project, starting with a visit to the customer.
  •  You will be responsible for making all the necessary preparations (site visit, measurements, implementation plans, etc.).
  • You will use advanced design software and technologies to create 2D and 3D models to develop your vision, which you will then present to the customer.
  •  In the design, you will ensure the integration of all technical specifications, building standards and aesthetic requirements.
  •  You will always look for the most sustainable solution and also consider feasibility.
  •  You are responsible for preliminary designs, analysing specifications, selecting the right components, rough sketches, etc.
  • You will also be responsible for drawing up quotations and price calculations.
  • While managing several projects simultaneously, you will maintain your focus on the ultimate objectives.
  • You regularly visit sites (approximately 20% of your time) to see everything for yourself.
  • You will report to the Project Manager and Operations Manager.

What does our ideal Design Engineer candidate look like?

  • You have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Energy Technology.
  • You have strong technical and architectural insight.
  • You excel in 2D and 3D modelling using AutoCAD (and VirtoCAD).
  • You have initial successful experience in the Renewable Energy and Solar PV industries.
  • You are a true problem solver who can maintain focus under pressure.
  •  You are a team player who is motivated by achieving results together with the team.
  •  Your motivation, commitment and technical skills are the keys to your success.
